Remembering 9/11 (September 11, 2001) in 2013

As many of us know, today marks the 12-year anniversary of the attack on the World Trade Center (WTC) in New York City. A coordinated terrorist attack so selfish and vile, it continues to haunt our memories today.

No matter who you are or what you were doing at 8:45 am Eastern on Tuesday, September 11, 2001, you probably remember the horror of knowing that our beautiful country had just experienced what would soon be one of the most watched and documented tragedies of our history.

I remember like yesterday: I was in the sixth grade and had woken up late for school. While waiting on my Stepfather to finish getting ready, the program on the television was abruptly interrupted with breaking news that a plane had crashed into the WTC in New York City in what was believed to be a coordinated terrorist attack.

Though too young to fully understand what was happening, I wasn’t too young to know and understand the damage these attacks would cause – for years to come.

So today, along with the rest of the nation, we want to take a moment to remember the souls that were lost in this vicious attack against our nation.

Nothing we do or say can ever take away the pain, reverse time or bring back our loved ones, but we can stand together in this time of sorrow.

All of us here at Brand Red Résumé and our parent company, Brand Red LLC, want to send our condolences and prayers to those who lost someone in result of these attacks on 9/11/2001.

But even in this time of grief, everything isn’t always bad. Today my daughter turned 4.
